Apple Will Repair Your Glitchy iPhone 11 Display for Free

Updated: Dec 8, 2020

Already paid to fix the issue, you can get a refund.

After last month’s announcement that Apple would replace buggy pairs of AirPods Pro, the company has announced a similar program for an iPhone 11 glitch affecting displays.

Apple has launched the iPhone 11 Display Module Replacement Program for Touch Issues for what it claims are a “small percentage” of devices manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 which do not respond to touches due to an issue with the display module. iPhone 11 users can enter their phone’s serial number to determine if they’re eligible for the service. And if you believe your phone was affected by this issue but have already paid for a repair, you can contact the company about receiving a refund. But bear in mind, phones with damage that could get in the way of the display repair, like cracked screens, will need to have those issues fixed before receiving the free tune up.

Apple has found itself in a spot of hot water recently as far as its iPhones go. After paying out a $113 million USD fine in its on-going “Batterygate” dispute, the company was fined once more in Italy for misleading claims about its devices’ water resistance.
