Back with another fire album from the Sacramento, CA artist Mac J

Mac J is an independent artist from Sacramento, CA and CEO of The record label TrueStory Ent. He is also the cousin of very popular northern California artist Bris and continues to keep the movement lit in his name while also dropping his own music that's got the bay turnt up. Mac J drops off "True Story" which is his first album since last years "Trickymode". The album consist off 23 songs and 8 listed features from artist like Young Slo-be, Clashclick Boog, Bris, EBK Young Joc, Philthy Rich, Ao Meally, Shanetheemu and Alphie Blood.

The first track "Fam-ily" sets the tone for the album with it's bouncy production and allows Mac J to show of his smooth flow, tricky word play and top rank bars. While the second track "Get on Sum" is a little more slow pace but it's still full of the slick bars that Mac J is know for and also features Young Slo-Be which we already know only drops fire verses rest in peace. The fifth song "Feisty" features his cousin Bris. That has to be a little bitter sweet, but it's a fasho a banger and it's nice to hear the two together on this album. Our favorite song has to be track eleven "Gawd did" produced by KC Fame. The production features the well know god did sample pioneered by Dj Khaled and has become the catch phrase for many in 2022.

Overall, the album is a must listen and the type of music you can listen to while doing anything from driving, to lurking to putting work in. It's just a vibe and embodies the new wave sound of northern california that setting the tone for the entire rap scene across the country.
